Explore the heart of Amman” the downtown core “Al-Balad”, which encompasses a myriad of traditional and ancient markets, cafes restaurants, shops, and buildings. Al- Balad’s long history leaves several historical, heritage, and archeological sites such as the Amman Citadel, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Roman Nymphaeum, the Ummayad Monumental Gateway, and the Temple of Hercules. You will get the chance to visit and explore during the tour.

Start by visiting one of Amman’s key attractions, the King Abdullah Mosque; most known for its magnificent blue dome. Continue to the Roman Amphitheatre; a 5000-seat, 2nd-century Roman theatre and the most impressive relic of ancient Philadelphia. Perpendicular to the Roman Amphitheatre’s axis is the Odeon; a smaller theatre mainly used for music, poetry readings, and debates, and take a short stroll afterward to the Roman Nymphaeum. Then, make your way to Amman the Citadel, a historical site towering above the city which comprises a 1700-meter wall that dates back to the Bronze age, the Umayyad Palace, and the iconic Temple of Hercules. This collection of antiques on a single hilltop makes the Amman citadel one of the best places to visit and admire.

Ride around the downtown area, and exhibit its vibrant markets, mosques and churches, antique stores, and traditional restaurants. You also have the opportunity to try traditional Jordanian food such as kunafeh, hummus, or mansaf. Continue your journey as you pass by panoramically through the new part of Amman, and exhibit how the old area merges with the more modern one, on your way to Madaba and Mount Nebo.

Upon arrival to Madaba, explore this ancient mosaic town with a history spanning back to the 2nd century. The most well-known is the mosaic map of Jordan and the Holy Land of the 6th century in the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George; marked with points related to historical stories mentioned in the bible.

Then climb up to Mount Nebo, a sacred Mountain in Jordan and an important Judeo-Christian pilgrimage site. Prophet Moses was first granted a view of the Promised Land and is also said to have died there. This site is not only a point of interest for history enthusiasts, however, offers a picturesque and panoramic view of the Holy land and the Jordan River Valley from the summit.
