The Roman Theater

The Roman Amphitheater, a prominent relic of Roman Philadelphia (Amman’s Roman name), stands impressively in the downtown area. Constructed in the 2nd century AD, it once accommodated up to 6,000 spectators and continues to host cultural events today. Head down into the heart of the city to see this brilliantly preserved, 6,000-seat amphitheater carved directly into the hillside in the 2nd century. Your entrance ticket also includes access to the Folklore and Popular Traditions museums located just to the sides of the stage.

King Abdullah Mosque :

King Abdullah I Mosque

The King Abdullah Mosque, most known for its magnificent blue dome. Continue to the Roman Amphitheatre, a 5000-seat, 2nd-century Roman theatre and the most impressive relic of ancient Philadelphia. Perpendicular to the Roman Amphitheatre’s axis is the Odeon, a smaller theatre mainly used for music, poetry readings, and debates.
